About Compass
Compass Rent is a multi-product rental company specializing in the long term rental of both old and new vehicles directly from the customer’s prefered dealer. Its innovative service focuses on the needs of dealers and end customers, giving dealers an innovative, technological and efficient business opportunity and offering customers a convenient, quick and safe way to rent a car. The rental takes place through the dealers who will be able to offer customer service on the cars they have and customers will have a wide range of choice between new, used and kmO cars.
The Challenge
The need to build the integration layer of Compass Rent’s multi product rental platform so it will interact with Salesforce and several other external systems within a reasonable dateline and with a minimum of operational management.

Our solution
In order to meet Compass Rent’s challenge of providing an integrated solution which was agile, scalable and with a short time-to-go live we recommended a serverless architecture based on AWS. AWS lambda integrates with over 200 services and SaaS applications, making it the preferred choice for the implementation of our solution. We integrated lambda with other AWS services such as API gateway, Route53, AWS WAF to deliver a fully functional api in due time.
